The article below, lead me to wonder about the how the 2009 Spring in Albemarle County is progressing.
The image at right depicts Charlottesville, VA average daily maximum and minimum temperatures (the two smoother lines) while the more erratic lines, which cover only the first third of the year show the 2009 daily values that have occured so far.
The chart below shows the daily average temperature for Charlottesville, VA in 2009. If the red line is above the blue line, it was warmer than normal that day. If the red line is below the blue line, that day was colder than normal. There is nothing terribly unusual temperature wise about the data. The Spring was largely normal and except for the possibility of a late freeze last week, the spring wine season in Albmarle County has progressed normally.
